Loop Zero
Loop around planets dodging enemies and obstacles, gaining speed to leave orbit to get to your final destination. Green coins give you speed and score! In this version play for a high score. Can you beat the creator's high score of 1125?
...probably not. If you get above 600, however, you're certified fresh!
My first official Jam submission!
Made in 2.5 days for GMTK Game Jam.
Meant to be played in Fullscreen.
Advice: Hold Space to constantly fire but be sure to dodge your own bullets when they come from behind!
Controls:
WASD or Arrow Keys + Space
W/Up: Move to outer lane
S/Down: Move to inner lane
Space: Shoot. Hold to constantly fire.

Please comment what you would like to see in future versions or what you liked/disliked. I plan to add more depth and strategy as a standalone game after the jam ends. Difficulty curve adjustment needed.

A really fun game that play well with the theme of 'Loop'. It is pretty fun. I like the sound effects and the controls. The game play loop is also interesting,
However, I also need to point out a few things:
1/ Polish: the game, while mechanically fun, still lack a general polish to it. There is feedback when you collide with objects, but it is in my opinion, still lacking.
For example, when you collect something, make it clear with not just audio, but also visual. And make the score looks more responsive, like when I do something to score, it flashes a bit.
2/ The looping rings at the start, when the game is slow, is okay. But when the game ramps up and start getting faster, it is really hard and confusing for me to accurately know what I am doing.
Overall, a pretty fun and potential game ideas. 6.5 / 10

Really interesting and well created mechanic! The game feels really enjoyable and has a nice sense of difficulty with it.
I really liked the base mechanic and the polishing of the game. An extremely creative mechanic that has a lot of potential!
Not much else to say actually, but a bit more variation & highlighting the lanes in a small shade could help because it is difficult sometimes to track down where the bullets are coming from.
Great job!
